Research

I am an economist specializing in environmental and natural resource economics. My research focuses on climate risk mitigation, infrastructure resilience, and the socioeconomic impacts of extreme weather events. I use the extended input-output model (EIOM) to assess the ripple effects of critical infrastructure disruptions at regional and national scales caused by natural disasters. I also investigate how disasters contribute to health shocks that exacerbate disparities in social and economic outcomes. My work draws on advanced quantitative methods and is shaped by interdisciplinary, policy-relevant research. I apply data-driven tools and techniques to quantify vulnerability and its consequences for population health, with the goal of advancing equitable climate resilience while reducing disaster-induced inequality.
