Spring 2023 Seminar Series

ENVS Seminar Series

In the fall or spring semester, the Department of Environmental Sciences hosts a seminar series as part of the ENVS senior seminar course, ENVS 390. The seminar series draws speakers from across Emory faculty and the broader community.

Our fall 2021 series, "Conducting and Communicating Environmental Research," featured ENVS faculty discussing their research. Talk titles included "Everything is All Connected - Air Quality, Climate Change and Soil Contamination" (Professor Eri Saikawa), "Preventing Pandemics and Saving Species: Disease Ecology is Where Biodiversity Conservation and Global Health Collide" (Professor Tom Gillespie), "Learning about our Georgia Coast through Research and Outreach" (Professor Anthony Martin), and "Bridging science and public health policy to control urban mosquito-borne diseases" (Professor Gonzalo Vazquez-Prokopec).
